Job Description Approved ElectricianLocation: Covering Peterborough, Northampton and Milton KeynesHours: Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00Contract: TemporaryWe are currently recruiting an Approved Electrician to support electrical maintenance operations across a portfolio of secure and regulated sites.This is a mobile role suited to an experienced electrician with strong installation, testing and faultfinding experience, ideally gained within a regulated or safety-critical environment.The roleYou will be responsible for delivering electrical maintenance and installation works to a high standard, ensuring safety, compliance and client satisfaction at all times.Key duties include:Electrical installation, testing and maintenance of LV systemsFault-finding, isolation and repair of electrical equipmentCompletion of installation works with appropriate certificationManaging work orders from receipt through to completionProviding progress updates and technical input where requiredWorking safely under permit to work systemsAdhering to company procedures, quality standards and health 'safety requirementsWorking as part of a multi-skilled mobile engineering teamBuilding effective working relationships with clients and colleaguesWhat we're looking forCity & Guilds 2360 Part 1 & 2 or equivalent NVQ Level 3C&G 2382 18th EditionC&G 2391-10 Inspection & TestingProven post-apprenticeship experienceStrong electrical maintenance and fault-finding backgroundExperience working in regulated, secure or safety-critical environmentsLV distribution systems experienceStandby power experience including generators and UPSFull UK driving licenceProfessional, safety-focused and customer-centric approachDesirableC&G 2391-20 Design & VerificationHigh Voltage systems knowledgeExperience in pharmaceutical, healthcare or processing environmentsUnderstanding of AC systems and controlsExperience working to GMP standardsHays EA is a trading division of Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited and acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
