Job Description Lifecycle Consultant Aftermarket (Contract) Peterborough | Onsite12month contract (high likelihood of extension)44.04 per hour (Umbrella) We're supporting a large engine OEM to recruit a Lifecycle Consultant Aftermarket to support a growing pipeline of new product introductions (NPI) and lifecycle activities within the Industrial Power Systems Division. This role sits at the heart of engineering, product and aftermarket, focusing on ensuring products are designed, launched and managed to maximise aftermarket parts and service growth across the full lifecycle. The role As a Lifecycle Consultant, you will lead and coordinate aftermarket deliverables across NPI and product lifecycle projects, influencing design and strategy decisions to protect and grow longterm parts revenue. You'll work closely with engineering, product management, supply chain, manufacturing, quality and commercial teams, acting as the aftermarket voice throughout the lifecycle.Key responsibilitiesLead aftermarket activities within New Product Introduction (NPI) and product deletion projectsInfluence product design to ensure aftermarket readiness (service, repair and overhaul solutions)Develop and support business cases for aftermarket parts and service growthDrive initiatives to increase parts revenue, POPS and service levelsOptimise lifecycle elements including parts branding, IP protection, supplier agreements and design changesUse data, metrics and analysis to track performance and drive continuous improvementAct as a key stakeholder across the business, influencing without direct authority About you You'll be a strong technicalcommercial hybrid, confident working in complex, crossfunctional environments.Essential experience:Minimum 5 years' experience within automotive, offhighway, diesel engines or similar technical productsProven project management experience within NPI or product lifecycle environmentsStrong understanding of aftermarket operations, parts strategy and business casesTechnical awareness with ability to read and understand engineering drawingsExperience using Teamcenter or similar PLM / engineering data management systemsConfident communicator, able to influence engineering and commercial stakeholdersDesirable:Exposure to parts marketing, service strategy or lifecycle optimisationExperience within a large, global OEM environmentWhat's on offerOpportunity to work on highprofile new product launchesBroad exposure across engineering, product and commercial teamsLongterm contract potential with a globally recognised brandCompetitive 44.04/hr umbrella rateWorking patternOnsite role based in PeterboroughMonday to Friday, typically 8:00am 4:00pmJBRP1_UKTJ
