We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced main contractor general buildingScroll down for a complete overview of what this job will require Are you the right candidate for this opportunityEstimator to join our client, a specialist in restoration, conservation and general build strip out and refurbishment projects (no residential).Location PE7, East Peterborough.Office based role - hybrid considered.Duties and responsibilities for the Estimator include:Complete and submit PQQsGenerate own enquiries via planning authority websites and portalsTake off quantities from drawingsPrepare and issue subcontract and material supply enquiriesComplete tender documentation for submissionPrepare specifications and/or contractor proposalsPost tender negotiationsAssist/support with Post Contract (QS) tasks.Key skills & experience required from the Estimator include:Main contractor/ general building sub-contractor Estimator, QS/EstimatorExperienced in pricing from drawings, all packages (excluding electrical and plumbing), refurbishment/strip out projectsConfident and experienced client facing (architects, clients, contractors)Excellent planning, negotiation, problem solving, attention to detail skillsAbility to build and maintain client relationshipsGood grasp of Architectural Drawings/Details and be knowledgeable about the construction industry as wholeExcellent IT skills (MS OfficeWord, Excel, Outlook)Working hours:Monday-Friday 8am to 5pm, 40 hours per weekPackage:Salary circa 55,000 (neg depending on experience)Car or Car AllowanceBenefits include 25 days holiday + company pension + on site car parkingWhy this company?Our client is a forward-thinking business, led by a proactive and experienced management team.
