Job DescriptionIncrease your chances of reaching the interview stage by reading the complete job description and applying promptly.Job Title: SEN TeacherLocation: PeterboroughSalary: 32,000 39,000 per year (depending on experience)Contract: Full-time / PermanentStart Date: ASAPAbout the RoleWe are looking for a passionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join a supportive school in Peterborough. This is an exciting opportunity to work with children and young people who have a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.You will work closely with the schools SENCO and wider teaching team to deliver tailored support, create an inclusive learning environment, and help students reach their full potential.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver specialist SEN lessons across primary or secondary classes.Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each pupil.Work with support staff to provide 1:1 or small group interventions.Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress, adapting strategies where needed.Support the development of independence, social skills, and emotional wellbeing.Collaborate with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to learning.Maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.RequirementsQualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.Experience working with children with SEN, complex needs, or additional learning difficulties.Strong knowledge of SEN teaching strategies and differentiation.Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping children achieve their potential.Relevant SEN teaching qualifications are desirable but not essential.What We OfferCompetitive salary and benefits package.A supportive and inclusive school environment.Opportunities for professional development in SEN and special education strategies.The chance to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people.SafeguardingThe school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. xjdpvnf All appointments are subject to enhanced DBS checks and satisfactory references.
