At Magnit, you’ll work with passionate colleagues who collaborate and deliver meaningful results that positively transform the largest companies around the globe.About the Role*Please note: This role requires regular travel to London*The Senior Corporate Counsel will serve as one of our in-house lawyers and compliance experts working in a global organization, focused on our EMEA operations. This position will have primary responsibility for claims mitigation, dispute resolution and representing the company in litigation matters (both directly and with outside counsel). The position is expected to advise the business on a broad range of commercial and regulatory matters and structuring, drafting and negotiating commercial transactions and binding documents within the EMEA region. The Senior Corporate Counsel may be involved with negotiations outside the above-mentioned territory, as well as with liaising directly with other members of the Legal Department globally. This position will work directly with the members of the in-house Legal Department in providing day-to-day advice to Company management on a variety of topics. The Senior Corporate Counsel will be solutions-minded and will lead all matters on both contentious and non-contentious employment law matters.What You Will Do• Will work closely with the business to resolve legal matters that may arise• Lead litigation and dispute resolution matters for the business across EMEA, handling these matters in house, where applicable and in the first instance, and appointing outside legal counsel where necessary.• Provide advice for various corporate functions (e.g., Employment & HR, Compliance, Data Protection, Tax and other matters) as they arise• Participates in the development of corporate policies, procedures and programs for EMEA and provides continuing counsel to the business in such areas• Stay informed of regulatory and legislative changes and other employment law developments and advise stakeholders on legal changes and developments• Assist with interpretation, application/implementation, and staff training related to company policies in EMEA• Serve as Anti-Money Laundering Officer for the company in EMEA.• Expected to support and develop the Legal & Contracts functions in EMEA; support and advocate for development of skills within the team.What You Will Need• Minimum of 4 plus years’ experience in a in-house law department• Strong contract negotiation experience with the ability to prioritize assignments in a fast-paced environment• Strong track record in dispute resolution and litigation• Experienced and confident face to face negotiator, attention to detail, commercial lawyer• Experience supporting and advising clients with global workforce• Practical, innovative, progressive, extremely hands-on, and customer-oriented professional• Conversant in data privacy laws, including GDPR• Experience in developing legal forms• Confident and able to lead the following areas of law for the EMEA Legal organization: intellectual property; litigation; employment; RFPs; consulting agreements; NDAs; purchasing; compliance; and corporate governance• Excellent research, organizational, and project management skills and being capable of tracking and completing multiple tasks in a timely manner• Law Degree• Qualified with at least 3 years PQEIf this role isn’t for youStay in touch, we will let you know when we have new positions on the team.To see a complete list of our open career opportunities please visit do our best work we need different viewpoints.
