We are currently recruiting for a Head Chef.Location: Lloyds Banking Group Head office – Birmingham City Central LocationRate of pay: £40,000 per annumWorking pattern: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, predominantly daytime social hours with some evenings required for eventsAbout The Role: We are very excited to launch at brand new B&I space in Birmingham with a premium banking client. The site will cater to up to 2,000 people each day. On site we have a retail restaurant space, event spaces that can cater to 300-400 people for events. We have several meeting rooms on site to host private fine dining lunches, corporate lunches, morning tea, afternoon tea -any catering required on site we provide. We provide a fresh food offering throughout and are looking for a Head Chef to join us who can drive forward hospitality and retail on site. This position involves managing a team of 5 in the kitchen but also the ability to deputise in absence of the GM to lead a team of 15.Key Responsibilities:To prepare and oversee all preparation of food to the highest standard To produce food in a timely fashion to ensure smooth service to the customersTo ensure that all appropriate ingredients are available for the menus To develop and plan menus that are in line with client and customer expectationsTo be creative when menu planning and including the client and customers Managing a team of 5 ChefsPride yourself on food quality and hygiene standardOverall responsibility for managing the kitchen team Provide feedback and coaching on performance To ensure that the kitchen team have completed up to date COSSH and Food Hygiene training​Our Ideal Candidate:Previous B&I workplace experience would be advantageousFine dining experience preferredAbility to build great client relationshipsPrevious experience with mobilising a new contractPassionate about delivering exceptional retail and hospitality food offers on site and looking to update and innovate theseWhat's in it for you?Working with Gather and Gather has its perks!
