Senior Field Service Technician

SPX Cooling Technologies is looking for a Senior Field Service Technician to join our growing UK service team. This is a hands-on, senior-level role where you’ll be out in the field delivering expert support across the full lifecycle of industrial cooling towers.If you’ve got strong experience in cooling tower construction, erection, and field service—and want a role with real autonomy, variety, and progression—this could be a great fit.The RoleYou’ll act as a key customer-facing representative, working on sites across the UK (and occasionally internationally), supporting installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of cooling tower systems across multiple OEMs.This is a senior position, so you’ll also play a part in mentoring junior engineers, supporting sales teams, and spotting new business opportunities while on site.What You’ll Be DoingErecting, installing, servicing, and maintaining cooling towersCarrying out inspections, diagnostics, and repairs across multiple OEM systemsSupporting construction and installation projects on-siteConducting water treatment testing, monitoring, and basic remedial actionsAdvising customers on performance improvements, efficiency, and complianceSupporting commissioning, warranty work, and planned maintenanceWorking closely with internal sales teams to support growth opportunitiesSupervising subcontractors and supporting junior team membersEnsuring all work is completed in line with Health & Safety standardsWhat We’re Looking ForStrong hands-on experience with cooling tower erection and constructionProven background servicing cooling towers across multiple OEMsSolid understanding of water treatment, Legionella control, and system healthAbility to work independently and lead on-site activitiesComfortable working at height and in confined spacesFull UK driving licenceStrong communication skills and a customer-focused mindsetWhat’s On OfferMarket leading salaryOvertime and travel opportunitiesCompany vehicleA senior position with real responsibility and progressionExposure to a wide variety of projects and customersOngoing training and development within a global organisationThis is a great opportunity for someone looking to step into a senior field-based role with a respected name in cooling technologies, where your expertise will be valued and your impact visible from day one.
