Lead Quality Inspector

Job Title: Lead Quality InspectorLocation: Leighton BuzzardJob Purpose:Quality Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that all manufactured products meet customer specifications, industry standards, and company quality objectives. The role involves conducting inspections throughout the manufacturing process and maintaining accurate documentation.Key Responsibilities:Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of parts and assembliesUse measuring instruments such as callipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) as requiredInterpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality standardsRecord inspection results and maintain detailed quality documentationIdentify and report non-conformances and assist in root cause analysisSupport continuous improvement initiatives and participate in quality auditsLiaise with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve quality issuesEnsure compliance with ISO 9001 or other relevant quality standardsRequirements:Proven experience as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing environmentStrong knowledge of quality control procedures and relevant toolsAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and specificationsFamiliarity with measurement and test equipmentGood understanding of manufacturing processes and materialsExcellent attention to detail and a methodical approachBasic computer skills for data entry and report generationStrong communication and team-working skillsDesirable:Experience with CMM programming or operationKnowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100 standardsPrevious experience in the automotive, aerospace, or precision engineering sectors
