NES Fircroft is working on behalf of a cutting edge offshore wind developer seeking a Senior Project Commercial Advisor to join their commercial team.The Senior Project Commercial Advisor reporting functionally to Corporate Commercial Manager and operationally to the Project Management team will take the lead in project commercial negotiations and drive the business case for projects allocated to them. The successful individual will be responsible for all commercial contracting matters as well as co-ordinate the process of securing CfD and project finance liaising with key internal, external & JV stakeholders.Key accountabilities:• Take a leading commercial role and Work closely with cross functional teams including consenting, engineering, project controls, finance and legal to support the successful execution of the projects assigned and ensure alignment of commercial objectives with project goals to ensure positive commercial outcomes for the project• Review and Negotiate to a close (non-supply chain) commercial agreements as applicable to facilitate the OFTO Sale, DCO / CPO process, PPA and all other agreements as required by PD / Line manager• Support commercial aspects of the negotiation of crossing agreements as applicable in conjunction with relevant technical & land department.• Assist in identifying and procuring project specific insurance ensuring any policies align with relevant corporate policies• To develop, maintain and operate business cases for offshore wind projects allocated to them. Evaluate project economics, assess risks and optimise revenue generation for Projects Allocated• Participate in project financing processes as required by project Finance lead• Prepare decision material and financial updates to Project Management and JV Board of Directors• Coordinating with technical / Supply Chain departments to facilitate the verification and validation of cost inputs to financial models• Ensure that relevant technical, logistic and commercial assumptions are gathered, maintained and utilised in our finance models• Final Investment Decision (FID) – prepare the projects for progression towards FID, including sound economic modelling, management of assumptions, demonstration of returns• Contract for Difference (CfD) – develop a bid strategy and oversee development of CfD bid for allocated projects• Building strong, positive and trust-based relations with key business partners, stakeholders and authorities across target markets• Follow all company policies and procedures and actively support the continual improvement of the business management system (BMS) to ensure the goals and commitments of our HSEQS policy are consistently metPerson specification:• Background in Quantity Surveying / Business / Contract Specialist roles• Deep understanding of cost drivers on contracts, demonstrating transparency and overall value• Ability to communicate across all levels of the project team and to support (and manage where required) the relationship with external stakeholders• Ability and track record of negotiating with experienced commercial professionals and achieving positive commercial outcomes for projects• Computer literate, experience of MS Office packages• Knowledge of bidding in auctions (CfD ideally)• Awareness of estimating and / or Project Financial models
