Senior Buyer – Toys (9 month FTC)Location: Home based (with occasional travel to their head office) My client is looking for an experienced and commercially-minded Senior Buyer to join their team, initially on a 9-month fixed term contract. This is a unique chance to lead a small team and fully own the trading, compliance and new product development (NPD) process, driving sales and boosting brand identity, for this market leading Toy company. If you're a creative, trend-led Toy buying professional with a strong product development background and a passion for the product, this could be your next exciting challenge!Key ResponsibilitiesLead New Product Development: Full ownership from concept to commercialisation, tracking trends and maximising opportunities.Supplier Management: Manage Far East supplier relationships, identify new suppliers, and negotiate for margin targets.Team Leadership: Oversee a small buying team, ensuring products meet compliance and safety standards.Commercial & Analytical: Manage product portfolios, analyse sales data, and conduct market analysis to drive performance.Sales & Marketing Support: Present new ranges, integrate customer feedback, and manage trade fair presence.What my client is looking forMust have experience in a Toy Buying role, either for a retailer, wholesaler or a manufacturer A team player with leadership capability.Creative, trend-led, and passionate about products.Commercially astute and highly organised.Strong attention to detail, thrives in a fast-paced environment.Skills & Experience RequiredProven success in New Product Development.Knowledge of compliance and legislation relevant to the industryExperience in team management and team leadership.A proven track record of success and experience of travelling to factories and sourcing from the Far East.Toy industry experience is essential.If you're ready to take on a challenging yet rewarding role and make a significant impact during this fixed-term contract, then please apply now!
