As the Head of Housekeeping you will lead the Housekeeping Team and be responsible for the supervision of all areas of housekeeping.Our Ivetsey Bank Hospital is a Tier 4 Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) hospital for young people aged 12-18. We specialise in supporting young people with severe or complex mental health conditions who need intensive inpatient treatment.What you'll be working: 37.5 hours per week8am-4pm 5 days a week, working across 7 days.What you'll be doing:The Head of Housekeeping will lead, coordinate and monitor work activities of cleaning personnel to ensure that as a team we are providing a clean, orderly and attractive environment for young people and staff. As Head of Housekeeping, you will assign duties accordingly while inspecting all aspects to make sure everything meets ACG standards while monitoring young people's satisfaction.Planning & Coordination Overseeing staff performance on a daily basisChecking areas around the hospital including stairways, communal areas for cleanlinessSchedule rotas and arrange cover in cases of absenceMonitor and replenish cleaning products stock including floor cleaner, bleach and rubber gloves, bed linen, and towels.Ensuring weekly cleanliness audits and monthly mattress audits are undertaken and where necessary action plans put in place to address any issues arising from the audits.Ensure correct usage, storage and care of cleaning products and equipment, adhering to COSHH proceduresParticipate in cleaning duties on a part time basis.Team Management: Manage a team of Housekeepers, providing direction, motivation, and support to ensure a cohesive and successful team.Delegate and monitor tasks and responsibilities to team members.Conduct supervisions & appraisals that are timely and constructive.Communication & Reporting: Serve as the main point of contact for suppliers, providing regular updates on status, risks, and changes.Prepare detailed reports for senior management as needed.Identify key risks and potential solutions to address potential issues.Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement: Ensure that deliverables meet required standards and quality expectations.Ensure compliance with safety and Infection Control Policies in all areas.What you'll have: Work experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or similar roleExperience of handling conflicting priorities and expectations.Good organisational and planning skills.Strong team player with the ability to influence and manage effectively.Good communication, both written and verbal.Ability to solve problems and make decisions under pressureWhat to look forward to: 25 days plus bank holidaysBirthday offJoin the Active Learning Hub and benefit from a wide range of e learning and face to face training and development opportunitiesFree 24 hour confidential Employee Assistance Programme Helpline & App to support with legal, health, wellbeing, relationship and consumer adviceA Nest Personal Pension accountAccess to join a Medicash Health Plan for you and your family to save money on everyday health essentials like going to the dentist or opticiansWe recognise outstanding Active Behaviours via the Active Awards programmeEnhanced Sick & Maternity Pay benefitsRefer a Friend Scheme and earn yourself up to 1000 by recommending someone you knowand, of course, the support and guidance of our qualified clinical and business leadership teams so that you can really develop your career with Active Care GroupTPBN1_UKTJ
