We have a number of permanent and contract vacancies for multiple businesses across the UK and overseas.The below job description will outline this position of: Marine Pipefitter:Typically, this person will be responsible for the fabrication, installation, and testing of small-bore pipework systems onboard marine vessels and within workshop environments. The role will involve working from technical drawings and schematics to produce high-quality pipe installations across a variety of materials, ensuring compliance with marine standards and client specifications.HSB Technicals client is a very established and well-regarded business entity, operating within the marine and shipbuilding sector, delivering high-quality engineering solutions to both commercial and defence customers.Duties and responsibilities of the Marine Pipefitter:Fabrication and installation of small-bore pipework systems in a range of materials including stainless steel, carbon steel, copper-nickel, and other marine-grade alloysWorking from technical drawings, P&IDs, and isometric diagrams to ensure accurate pipe routing and installationInstallation and maintenance of hydraulic pipe systems, including high-pressure lines and associated componentsAssembly and installation of press-fit pipe systems such as Geberit MapressMeasuring, cutting, bending, threading, and fitting pipework to high quality and safety standardsPressure testing, inspection, and fault finding on installed systemsEnsuring all work complies with marine classification society standards and company quality proceduresWorking safely in confined spaces and onboard vessels, adhering to H&S regulations at all timesLiaising with supervisors, engineers, and other trades to ensure efficient project deliveryQualifications and requirements for the Marine Pipefitter:Proven experience in fabrication and installation of small-bore pipework within marine, shipbuilding, offshore, or heavy engineering environmentsStrong knowledge of hydraulic systems and associated componentsExperience working with press-fit systems (e.g., Geberit Mapress)Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and isometric diagramsHigh attention to detail with a strong focus on quality workmanshipRelevant engineering apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering / Pipefitting (desirable)Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentThis vacancy is being advertised by HSB Technical who have been appointed to act as the recruitment consultancy for this role.JBRP1_UKTJ
