Position: Quality TechnicianHave you got the right qualifications and skills for this job Find out below, and hit apply to be considered.Location: SunderlandCompany: Autoscan UK LimitedPay Rate: 14.50 Per Hour (PAYE)Duration: Minimum 6 Months FTCAutoscan provides Quality Inspection, Containment & Quality Engineering Services to the Automotive, Off Highway, and all types of manufacturing industries and their supply chain.We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Quality Technician for an exciting new opportunity based in the Sunderland area of Tyne and Wear.The Quality Technician in this role will be responsible for first off / last off inspection confirmations and a basic level of auditing and part confirmation against internal QAIS standards. This will include visual assessment of parts in addition to some level of gloss/colour measurement as well as simple vernier inspection measurements.Quality concern updates will be managed via our bespoke concern management system, the Quality Technician will also update customer specific systems to demonstrate concern status and progress.Following on from the supplier discussions, the Quality Technician will be responsible for managing resolution of the quality issue, robust problem resolution actions and closure of the issue to 8D.The successful Quality Technician will be comfortable in customer facing roles and will be able to represent the team in all quality forums, from initial investigation to senior management and engineering follow up meetings and feeding back to the supplier network.Applicants should have previous experience in a similar Quality role, be computer literate, be experienced in the use of MRP type systems and be able to communicate at all levels.In return, the successful candidate will be rewarded with a basic hourly rate of 14.50 per hour PAYE.Based in the Sunderland area, this role is commutable from South Shields, Jarrow, North Shields, Gateshead, Newcastle upon Tyne, Durham, Whitley Bay, Hartlepool, Teesside and Middlesbrough amongst many other areas of Tyne and Wear and surrounding regions.We are specialist service providers to the vehicle manufacturing industry and their supply chains, and this is an excellent opportunity to join our team.The successful candidate will be required to undergo a basic DBS Criminal Record Check.Applicants should have previous experience in a similar Quality role, be computer literate, be experienced in the use of MRP type systems and be able to communicate at all levels.Autoscan UK Limited is an equal opportunity employer.
