HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver

We are currently seeking a Refuse Driver to join a dedicated waste and recycling team in Oxted. This role involves driving a refuse collection vehicle as part of a crew responsible for collecting household waste and recycling from residential properties across the city.Youll play a vital role in keeping the community clean and safe while delivering a high standard of service to the public.Key Responsibilities:Drive and operate a refuse collection vehicle (Class 2/HGV) safely and efficientlyWork as part of a crew to complete daily collection roundsAssist with loading when necessary, especially in narrow or difficult areasFollow planned routes and schedules provided by the supervisorComplete vehicle checks and report defects in line with regulationsEnsure compliance with health and safety procedures at all timesProvide friendly and professional service to the publicRequirements:Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) Driving LicenceCPC and Digital Tachograph Card6 months previous experience in waste collection or driving large vehicles preferredGood knowledge of local roads and routes in Brighton desirableReliable, punctual, and a strong team playerWillingness to assist with physical duties as requiredAble to work outdoors in all weather conditionsWhat We Offer:Full-time, ongoing work with potential for permanent opportunitiesSupportive team environmentWeekly payOn-the-job trainingTuesday to Friday 6am to 5pmJBRP1_UKTJ
