Job Description Account Manager Medical Communications Oxford (Hybrid)38,000 - 45,000 plus benefitsA friendly and well-established independent medical communications agency based in Oxford is looking for a talented Account Manager to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive, collaborative environment where people are genuinely valued and encouraged to develop their careers.In this role, youll play a key part in delivering high-quality medical communications projects for pharmaceutical clients, managing multiple work-streams and building strong relationships with both clients and internal teams.The RoleAs an Account Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of projects from brief through to completion, ensuring work is delivered on time, on brief, and within budget. Youll collaborate closely with internal teams including scientific, creative and digital colleagues, while maintaining strong day-to-day relationships with clients.Youll also support junior team members, contribute to new business opportunities, and help ensure projects run smoothly and efficiently.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure clear briefs are received from clients and effectively communicated to internal teamsManage projects to ensure delivery on brief, within scope and within budgetCoordinate and manage multiple projects of varying complexityBuild strong relationships with clients and external stakeholdersOversee and support junior colleagues on materials and project deliveryBrief and review freelance design and digital work to ensure client-ready outputEnsure adherence to compliance procedures, GDPR and pharmaceutical codes of practice (e.g. ABPI)Lead client calls and maintain project status updates, schedules and meeting summariesSupport with budget management, forecasting and financial trackingEnsure projects are reconciled and invoiced accurately and on timeContribute to new business pitches, proposals and researchSupport and mentor junior team members, including AEs and graduate AEsContribute to internal brainstorms and identify opportunities for organic client growthAbout You23+ years experience in an account management role within medical communicationsStrong project management and organisational skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHighly organised with strong attention to detailProactive, adaptable and solutions-focusedConfident managing client relationshipsComfortable working across multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentProficient in MS Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)Ideally educated to degree level (a scientific degree such as BSc is advantageous)Why Apply?Join a lovely, supportive independent agency with a collaborative cultureHybrid working from Oxford - 2 days a weekOpportunity to work on interesting medical communications projects with global clientsStrong focus on career development and mentoring
