Engineer Six Sigma

An established engineering and laboratory-based organisation is seeking a Lean Six Sigma Consultant to drive operational excellence across the laboratory. This role focuses on process improvement, workflow optimisation, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce bottlenecks, and support sustainable growth. The Lean Six Sigma Consultant will work closely with laboratory teams to embed Lean Six Sigma methodologies, support strategic planning, and ensure operational improvements are delivered effectively and sustainably. Key Responsibilities Identify operational bottlenecks and opportunities for process improvement. Lead Lean Six Sigma projects across laboratory workflows, including sample processing, data handling, and reporting. Analyse current processes, gather and interpret data, and recommend solutions that enhance efficiency and quality. Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring alignment with laboratory and organisational objectives. Provide coaching, training, and guidance to laboratory staff on Lean Six Sigma principles and best practices. Monitor and report on process improvement metrics, ensuring initiatives deliver measurable results. Collaborate with other laboratories across Europe to share best practices and drive standardisation. Essential Criteria : Strong experience in Lean Six Sigma and operational improvement within laboratory, scientific, or engineering environments. Proven track record of delivering measurable process improvements. Ability to lead projects and influence across multiple teams. Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision-making. Excellent communication and coaching skills. Willingness to travel occasionally within Europe.
