Job DescriptionSenior Legal Counsel - TechnologyAs a Senior Legal Counsel specialising in Technology, you will play a pivotal role in providing expert legal guidance and support to our client. The role requires excellent business partnering skills to support and enable the technology function by providing strategic, commercially focused, and solutions-driven legal advice and insight. The principal focus of the role is on enterprise technology and cybersecurity matters, though the role holder will be expected to support other lawyers in the legal team in relation to product technology matters.Provide legal advice and support on technology-related matters, including intellectual property and data protectionMonitor and advise on the legal impact of technological, cybersecurity, and privacy developments to assist the business in responding to them. This will involve a particular focus on the development of AI systems and toolsDraft, review, and negotiate contracts, licensing agreements, and other legal documentsEnsure compliance with industry regulations and company policiesCollaborate with internal teams to identify and mitigate legal risksAdvise on technology-related transactions and strategic initiativesStay updated on legal developments in the technology sectorYour ProfileQualified Solicitor with significant in-house and private practice experienceMinimum of 5 years of experience in technology law or related fieldsStrong knowledge of intellectual property, data protection, and technology regulationsExcellent negotiation and communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively with cross-functional teamsProven track record of managing complex legal issues in the technology sector
