Job DescriptionConstruction Assistant Rail Infrastructure OxfordContract: 6 months | Location: Oxford | Rate: 380/day (Inside IR35 via Umbrella)A major rail infrastructure project in Oxford is seeking an experienced Construction Assistant to support site-based assurance on a high-profile enhancement programme. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that all construction activities are executed safely, to a high standard, and in compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and procedures.Project Scope:Oxford Phase 2 includes civils, signalling, telecoms, track and E&P works, plus new platforms, bridges, and station entrances. Now at ES6 construction phase.Key Responsibilities:Monitor contractor activities for safety, quality, and complianceCheck Sentinel competencies and method statementsEnsure communications with lineside residentsMaintain site records, report defects, raise/close NCRsSupport ITPs, testing, and undertake CoSS/Site Warden dutiesRequirements:Civils experience in a rail environmentValid PTSKnowledge of NR standards and SHWStrong documentation and QA skillsWe can only consider applications from those eligible to work in the UK for this position.
