Job Description Location: OxfordSalary: 41,000Shift Pattern: DaysThe RoleWe are seeking a Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer with a strong electrical bias to join our engineering team in Oxford. You will be responsible for ensuring maximum equipment uptime, carrying out planned maintenance, and responding quickly to breakdowns in a fast-paced production environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on production machineryDiagnose and repair electrical faults including motors, drives, sensors, PLCs and control systemsSupport mechanical maintenance tasks when requiredWork collaboratively with production teams to minimise downtimeMaintain accurate maintenance records and documentationContribute to continuous improvement and reliability projectsEnsure all work is carried out safely and in line with company proceduresRequirementsRecognised electrical engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC, or equivalent)Proven experience in a manufacturing / industrial maintenance environmentStrong fault-finding skills on electrical systems and control panelsBasic mechanical competence (bearings, belts, gearboxes, etc.)Experience with PLC fault finding (desirable)Ability to work shifts including nights and weekendsStrong problem-solving skills and a proactive approachJBRP1_UKTJ
