We have an abundance of expertise and knowledge that is regularly called upon throughout the firm, mainly within complex engineering sectors such as Science and Research, Healthcare and existing building stock decarbonisation.It's an exciting time to join our Oxford team. We deliver high performing buildings which respond to the challenges of climate change whilst creating spaces which meet the needs of modern living.As a Director, you will be thinking long term; establishing, planning and implementing the strategy for delivering future work. Youll also be accountable for large-scale/complex and high-risk projects, setting out expectations, and empowering others to manage and deliver projects, ensuring client needs are met.You will be exerting a positive influence on the performance of your business area, leading by example and inspiring others to perform at their best.In this key and varied role, you can expect to:Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing Clients and encourage repeat business opportunitiesSupport other Directors in developing client relationships in new or existing business sectorsDevelop leadership and support relevant directors in strategic direction of the businessLead bid preparation and coordinate tender activities with other disciplines both internally and externallyLead, coordinate and agree appointments in conjunction with Risk Management GroupPlan, lead and manage medium/large scale projects within the officeAccountable for communicating, coordinating and managing resources to ensure successful delivery of projectsAccountable for achieving financial targets within your area of the business or projectsBe accountable for the financial management, invoicing, debtor chasing, fee variations and final account settlement on projects under your directionProvide expert technical support as part of project joint ventures within the firmInput to the recruitment process for the business area and carry out interviews and assist in the selection process of suitable candidates at all levelsMentor and support our next gen professionals.About youTo be successful in this role youll need:Qualified and recognised in industry with Chartered statusGood understanding of other disciplinesIT literate with a technical understanding of relevant IT packagesExcellent written and spoken English skillsExcellent organisational and planning skills to effectively work to timescales and deadlinesExtensive industry experience (in either a consultancy and/or contracting background)To provide a lead role in an integrated project design team with other construction professionals.Demonstrable experience working with clients/contractors/collaborators in a design-oriented role.Self-awareness, an open mind, and a spirit of generosity.Experience in supporting others to develop knowledge, skills, and confidence.Science and research or healthcare experience would be beneficial, but not essential.How to applyTo apply simply complete a CV profile and submit your application, or for further information please contact [email protected] shortlisted, one of our recruitment team will be in touch to arrange a introductory call (about 30 minutes) to discuss the role and your experience in more detail.
