Senior Geophysicist Location: OxfordSalary: £32,000 – £36,000Are you looking to join a fast-growing Geophysical Specialist Company where you can develop your career and expand your knowledge?About the Role As a Senior Geophysicist, you’ll support subsurface investigations from instruction through to data interpretation and reporting.The role involves acquiring and analysing borehole geophysical data, contributing to ground models, and supporting site investigations across brownfield and greenfield projects.A mix of site and office work, with opportunities to develop and progress.What’s on Offer25 days’ annual leave in addition to UK bank holidays5% employer pension contribution based on gross salaryCompany profit share schemeHealth Cash Plan covering dental, optical, and other medical expensesExtra pay for site work and field assignmentsAccess to Cycle to Work schemeInclusive, collaborative workplace as an Equal Opportunities EmployerSupportive and experienced team with a strong focus on innovation, quality, and continuous improvementResponsibilitiesPlan and design geophysical surveys, delivering robust technical solutions from bid stage through to completionSupervise field activities to ensure high data quality and adherence to technical standards, with site support as requiredLead the analysis, interpretation, and reporting of complex geophysical data, producing clear and reliable outputsUphold quality assurance standards, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, on time, and within budget while encouraging innovationContribute across sectors including infrastructure, engineering, environmental investigations, UXO, and utilitiesSupport and mentor junior team members, providing ongoing technical guidanceCarry out occasional fieldwork in the UK and overseas as project needs dictateWhat We’re Looking forEducation:Postgraduate qualification in geophysics or a closely related fieldExperience:7+ years in near-surface geophysics, with proven experience delivering complex projects and leading teamsTechnical Capability:Strong working knowledge of key methods including GPR, EM, magnetometry, microgravity, electrical (resistivity, IP), and seismic techniques (refraction and surface waves)Software Skills:Proficient with recognised processing and interpretation packages (such as Oasis Montaj, GeoGiga, SurfSeis, Res2Dinv, Zonde, Aarhus Workbench or equivalent).
