Location: Ossett, Wakefield, WF5 Contract Type: Temporary, Short to Long Term Start Date: ASAP Pay Rate: 125-200 (AWR Compliant) Our partner schools believe in nurturing childrens interpersonal skills and building strong foundations for a future school career. We are looking for a talented Year 1 Primary Teacher or an experienced KS1 Primary Teacher who are passionate about inspiring young students. With Year 1 being many childrens first experience in education the role calls for a skilled, empathetic and organised professional to nurture the pupils into school life. Year 1 Primary Teacher Role Requirements: A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status). Experience working with KS1 children (Reception Teacher, Year 1 Teacher, or Year 2 Teacher). A strong understanding of the KS1 national curriculum and how to deliver it effectively. Ability to plan, assess, and differentiate lessons to meet the diverse needs of all pupils, e.g. SEN. Excellent communication skills to build strong relationships with children, parents, and KS1 colleagues. Ability to create a comfortable and inspiring educational environment. Knowledge of phonics and ability to follow schemes. Year 1 Primary Teacher Candidate Expectations: Be an inspiring and engaging Year 1 Primary Teacher who motivates children to achieve their best. Show a passion for working with KS1 pupils and foster their social and academic development. Maintain high standards of classroom management and behaviour. Work collaboratively as part of a supportive team, contributing to school life and the wider community. Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced school environment.
