We are hiring a Quantity Surveyor in Orpington to join a well-established team delivering high-quality painting and maintenance works across South London and the surrounding areas. This is a key opportunity for a commercially driven Quantity Surveyor looking to take ownership of financial performance on multiple contracts. The role offers autonomy, responsibility, and the chance to grow within a contractor known for delivering excellence across planned works and refurbishment projects. Key Responsibilities Produce cost estimates, tenders, and valuations for painting and maintenance projects in Orpington and South London Analyse contract documentation, identify risk, and advise on commercial strategies Manage procurement processes and develop subcontractor relationships Track and report CVRs, financial progress, variations, and margin performance Prepare and submit applications for payment and ensure prompt collection Contribute to tendering, project mobilisation, and weekly performance meetings Lead financial control of subcontract payments and assist with dispute resolution Ensure compliance with internal processes and third-party accreditations (FIRAS/IFC) Requirements Prior experience in Quantity Surveying or Estimating for painting works within the construction industry Experience working in or around the Orpington area preferred Sound knowledge of contract management, commercial controls, and SOR-based pricing Strong Excel and IT skills for reporting and analysis CSCS Card (Manager/Professionally Qualified) and full UK Driving Licence Excellent attention to detail, commercial awareness, and communication skills What Youll Get Salary up to 60,000 depending on experience Car allowance and comprehensive benefits package Career progression opportunities in a secure and growing contractor The chance to lead key projects in the Orpington area and contribute to regional success What Next Apply today to become a Quantity Surveyor in Orpington and join a high-performing team delivering value-driven painting and maintenance projects in South London.
