Job Description Master Planner - SANDVIK50k - 60kOmaghVickerstock are working in partnership with SANDVIK; a global heavy engineering manufacturer that designs and builds high-performance equipment used in the processing of rock, minerals, and aggregates. The company supplies advanced crushing, screening, and materials handling solutions to customers worldwide, supporting industries such as quarrying, mining, construction, and infrastructure.Their site in Omagh plays a key role in the production of complex, engineered machinery and is recognised as a centre of excellence within the group. The business combines strong engineering heritage with modern manufacturing, continuous improvement, and a focus on safety, quality, and operational performance.Your key responsibilities as a Master Planner;Own and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) across products and sites, including full MRP demand ownershipConvert dealer and sales demand into clear capacity requirementsControl plan changes using agreed time fences and governanceBalance customer priorities, commercial commitments, and operational constraintsSupport IBP / S&OP processesCoordinate with Production Managers to ensure accurate scheduling aligned to demand and inventoryDevelop short, medium, and long-term capacity models for labour, machines, and key suppliersIdentify bottlenecks and capacity gaps, leading mitigation actionsRun scenarios for demand shifts, ramp-ups, and recovery plansSupport decisions on overtime, shifts, outsourcing, and capital investmentMonitor schedule adherence, capacity utilisation, service levels, and inventory impactProactively flag delivery and capacity risksPrepare and report customer delivery metrics; manage portal data where requiredLead root cause analysis and corrective actions for planning failuresIdentify process gaps and improve ERP planning practices through procedures, audits, and corrective actionsEnsure MRP outputs align with the master scheduleBalance service, inventory, and cash through planning parametersSupport material strategy decisions (safety stock, lead times, build strategies) As a Master Planner, ideally you will have.Demonstrated career progression within an engineering manufacturing environment, including:Experience as a Production Planner/Scheduler using ERP systems for scheduling and capacity planningExperience as a Senior Production Planner/Scheduler managing complex products, changing customer demand, production flow optimisation, stakeholder coordination, and ideally ownership of the end-to-end master schedule for a plant or product lineAbility to turn complex data into clear, practical actionsExperience working cross-functionally in a changing, fast-moving environment What we hope you will do next;Contact Warren Watson to discuss this in absolute confidence or send an updated CV via the link on the page.By applying for this role, you accept the terms of processing, please find our privacy policy on our website.As an experienced specialist senior engineering and manufacturing recruitment professional with 8 years' experience; I personally specialise within the recruitment of Planners at all levels across Northern Ireland.If you are interested in this vacancy, and work within Engineering / Manufacturing in Northern Ireland, then please apply with your CV to me for consideration - (You can also find and connect with me on LinkedIn)
