CareerMakers are currently looking for a ' TIG Welders ' for one of our clients in the OL9 , Chadderton Area. The successful candidate will work as part of a dedicated team to carry out high quality welding operations in a safe and time efficient manner. Fabrication knowledge is essential and must be able to read technical drawings. With the ability to MIG weld mild steel at a variant of thicknesses, daily work load will be varied and consist of manufacturing containers, wash down bays, wheel wash systems, bowsers and more. Testing and commissioning of fabrications old and new is a requirement of this role. Working alongside other production departments the role of welder/fabricator will be key in the progression of the department to meet operational growth in demand. The role includes: To interpret production drawings to achieve the fabrication and welding of a product that is in line with safety, quality and delivery standards. To maintain a safe working environment, highlighting any concerns and assisting to better our environment. To maintain and use welding/fabrication machinery to recognised best practice. The ability to maintain effectiveness when experiencing major or minor changes in work tasks or the work environment; adjusts effectively to work within new work structures, processes or requirements. A preference for taking action without being prompted by others to achieve results. Working cooperatively with others involved in a common goal, being part of a team and working together. Maintaining a professional approach to your job role. There will also be opportunities to further develop skills within welding and fabrication departments. Candidates should have: Must have 3 years experience in TIG welding Stainless steel and Aluminium to a high standard. Be able to work using their own initiative or as part of a team. Strong time management skills. Will be able to conduct a short on-site weld test Ability to interpret production drawings Attention to detail, whilst working at a fast pace. Self-motivated and willing to always improve and develop. Ability to work in a team, although being able to work alone when required Fabrication using jigs, benchwork and/or assembly on various projects.
