Deputy Manager Childrens Residential Home Location: Oldham Salary: From 36,935.04 per year Contract: Full-time, Permanent A well-established, family-run childrens residential care provider is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deputy Manager to join their supportive team in Oldham. The Role As Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home, helping to ensure consistently high standards of care, safeguarding, leadership, and regulatory compliance. You will take an active role in staff leadership, quality assurance, and will step into the Manager role when required. This is a hands-on leadership role combining operational responsibility with direct engagement in care delivery. Essential Requirements Aged 21 or over Full UK driving licence Qualifications & Experience Level 3 or 4 Diploma/NVQ in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) Working towards or willing to complete Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management Minimum 1 year experience in a Deputy or Senior role within residential childcare Experience completing and reviewing care plans and risk assessments Experience attending professional meetings and liaising with external agencies Confident in line managing and supervising staff with support from the Registered Manager Experience supporting Ofsted inspections Strong written and verbal communication skills Sound knowledge of Childrens Homes Regulations and Quality Standards Understanding of issues affecting young people in residential care Confident managing the home in the absence of the Registered Manager Experience using ClearCare (essential) Flexible to work shifts, sleep-ins, office hours, weekends, and on-call duties Whats on Offer Monthly supervisions focused on wellbeing and career development Company pension Flexible working options On-site parking Ongoing training and professional development Performance-related bonuses Blue Light Card with access to 15,000+ discounts Meals and snacks provided on shift Health and wellbeing programme Company car available Casual dress environment TPBN1_UKTJ
