Furniture Maker - Unique, Bespoke & Exclusive Furniture Location: Uppingham (with some national travel) Hours: Monday to Thursday: 07:30 - 16:15 and Friday: 07:30 - 15:15 Benefits: Free parking, Christmas shutdown, pension, travel allowance when working away About the Role Are you passionate about creating bespoke, luxury furniture? Our client, a renowned manufacturer producing exceptional furniture for some of the UK's and Europe's most exclusive hotels, bars, and restaurants, is seeking an experienced Furniture Maker to join their talented workshop team. As part of a small, skilled group of craftspeople, you'll take great pride in your creations - producing unique, high-end pieces from concept to completion. You will not only craft these bespoke items in the workshop but will also have the opportunity to install your work on-site at prestigious venues. Key Responsibilities Produce bespoke furniture from detailed technical drawings Set up and operate woodworking machinery including routers, edgebanders, planers, table saws, drills, sanders, and spindles. Select the highest-quality materials to achieve outstanding appearance and consistency. Work collaboratively to ensure projects are delivered on time and to exact specifications. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment. Follow all Health & Safety guidelines. Essential Requirements Proven experience as a Furniture Maker or Cabinet Maker, with excellent attention to detail and finish. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and diagrams. Skilled in the use of hand tools (saws, chisels, planes, etc.). Proficient in operating standard woodworking machinery. Display knowledge of wood types, timber cuts, and material characteristics. Strong commitment to craftsmanship, precision, and quality. Able to work both independently and as part of a team. Full UK driving licence. CSCS Card - preferred but not essential. Additional Information This role involves occasional travel for on-site furniture installation at client premises. Additional payments are provided for installation work.
