Job Role: Quality Assistant ManagerLike the look of this opportunity Make sure to apply fast, as a high volume of applications is expected Scroll down to read the complete job description.Location: HMP StockenSalary: From 35,000Contract: Permanent, full timeWorking Environment: Prisonbased role with full onsite leadership responsibilitiesRole OverviewWe are seeking a committed and experienced Quality Assistant Manager to support the effective leadership and development of highquality education provision at HMP Stocken.Working as part of the senior management team, you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of a highquality learner experience, driving continuous improvement, maximising contract performance and supporting the development of an engaging, industryrelevant curriculum.You will take the lead on quality assurance and improvement within your curriculum area, support tutors to raise standards, and ensure teaching and learning meets regulatory, organisational and inspection requirements. You will also deputise for the Education Manager when required, providing operational and strategic support across the department.Key ResponsibilitiesCurriculum & Quality LeadershipLead quality assurance and quality improvement within the vocational and academic curriculum. - Drive the Quality Cycle across the education department, ensuring strong practice and consistent standards. - Lead and coordinate lesson observations, blended learning reviews, deep dives and learning walks. - Produce detailed quality reports and action plans, and provide clear, developmental feedback to staff. - Monitor and coordinate IQA/EQA schedules, carrying out the IQA role when required. - Support the development of a standardised curriculum aligned to learner needs, employer demand and inspection frameworks.Operational Management & Team LeadershipSupport the Education Manager with daytoday operational management across the department. - Oversee learner induction, class allocation, behaviour expectations and learner conduct. - Provide supportive, persuasive leadership to tutors and support staff, fostering a highachievement culture. - Lead on target setting and performance monitoring processes. - Conduct probation reviews, appraisals and professional development activities using organisational procedures. - Support, coach and mentor new and existing teaching staff to develop and improve practice. Partnerships, Stakeholder Engagement & ComplianceBuild and maintain positive internal and external partnerships to support learner progression. - Contribute to meetings, sharing key information with staff and supporting collaborative working. - Ensure curriculum delivery meets Ofsted, awardingbody and Ministry of Justice requirements. - Maintain compliance with all safeguarding, security, equality and health 'safety standards. - Support the preparation of the annual SelfAssessment Report (SAR), Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) and relevant budget inputs. Teaching, Coaching & Continuous ImprovementDeliver teaching sessions where required to support delivery and maintain subject expertise. - Lead CPD sessions based on trends from observations, deep dives and performance reviews. - Promote innovative, creative and problemsolving approaches to drive continuous improvement. - Ensure the quality toolkit is updated regularly and shared centrally. - Celebrate diversity, promote inclusion and support a positive learning culture.Essential CriteriaLevel 5 or above Teaching Qualification. - Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) or willingness to work towards. - Level 3 English and Maths. - Significant teaching experience. - Strong experience managing curriculum development, quality systems and performance improvement. - Evidence of continuous professional development. - Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and motivate achievementfocused teams. - Ability to identify curriculum improvements aligned to learner and employer needs. - Strong communication skills with the ability to influence others. - Clear understanding of the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework (EIF). - Commitment to reducing reoffending through education and skills. - Creative, flexible and solutionfocused working style. - Full driving licence and access to own transport.Desirable CriteriaLevel 5 Operations/Departmental Manager qualification. - Experience within prison education or secure environments. xjdpvnf - Experience supporting Ofsted inspections or external quality reviews.How to ApplyFor more information or to apply, please contact: Robert Rowe
