The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with various metalworking techniques. This role involves fabricating, assembling, and welding metal components to repair adapt and create high-quality products. The Metal Worker will work closely with other team members to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. Duties Operate hand tools and machinery for cutting, grinding, and shaping metal materials. Assemble metal components according to specifications and technical drawings. Fabricate parts using sheet metal techniques, ensuring precision and quality in each piece produced. Perform welding tasks using various methods, including MIG welding, to join metal parts securely. Conduct regular inspections of tools and equipment to maintain safety standards and operational efficiency. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times. Skills Proficient in the use of hand tools for metalworking tasks. Strong ability to grind, assemble, weld, and fabricate metal components effectively. Solid mechanical knowledge with an understanding of tooling processes. Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication techniques is advantageous. Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
