Job Description Senior Quantity SurveyorPeople Solutions are currently recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our well-established client based in Nuneaton on a full-time permanent basis.This role is hybrid as it is office, home and site based. This is a fantastic opportunity, offering an excellent annual salary, great benefits, and genuine opportunities for career progression.This is a high-responsibility role reporting to the Commercial Director, working across a wide range of projects throughout the UK.You will work autonomously while maintaining a strong interface with Estimating and Finance teams to ensure project profitability and risk management.Working hours:Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm (flexibility required) Salary:55,000 per annumBenefits Your benefits as a Senior Quality Surveyor will be:25 days holiday plus bank holidaysPension scheme with employer contributionsOpportunities for professional development and trainingFlexible working to accommodate project deadlinesHealth and well being supportLong-service recognition and rewardsDay-to-day duties:As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, your duties will include (but not be limited to):Review and agree Subcontract conditions, mainly under NEC and JCT contractsMonitor and report costs and revenue to assess financial outcomes and profitabilityManage applications for payments and resolve late or disputed moniesUndertake ongoing and post-contract administrationCheck client creditworthiness and manage payment processes or insurance requirementsLiaise with Estimating and Contracts teams to meet company objectives and report risksMonitor project performance, visit sites regularly, and report issues to the Commercial DirectorEnsure stakeholders understand and adhere to contractual obligationsAssist with the training of junior Quantity SurveyorsManage subcontract accounts from procurement through to final accountSupport tendering and procurement processes, including supplier and subcontractor procurementEssential skills:To be successful as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will need:Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in Civil Engineering or ConstructionExperience within specialist sub-contracting organisations or geotechnical/piling sectors desirableDegree in Quantity Surveying or relevant formal commercial qualification highly desirableStrong understanding of construction processes, plant, equipment, and materialsExperience working for both Main Contractors and Sub ContractorsGood working knowledge of NEC and JCT conditions of contractCommercially aware with excellent numeracy and analytical skillsStrong negotiation, communication, and client liaison skillsExcellent organisational and IT skills, including project costing softwareTraining:Full training will be provided, with ongoing development support.Contact:If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity as a Senior Quantity Surveyor , apply today by clicking the link below or contact our recruitment team to find out more.People Solutions do not charge candidates any fees or request deposits at any stage of the recruitment processJBRP1_UKTJ
