Role Overview An Architectural Technologist is a senior team member focused on the day-to-day delivery of concept and technical design information across all RIBA Work Stages to facilitate the successful delivery of core design services. This role has a specific focus on the technical resolution of design proposals, developing and presenting innovative solutions across our live projects. Salary Range 31,000 - 45,000 Core Responsibilities Provide technical contribution to project feasibility work Preparation and development of Building Information Models (BIM) Physical model making to explore design options (where appropriate) Consultation with consultants in preparation of design information General analysis of technical context to support project delivery Researching and developing outline architectural specifications Production of design drawings and internal reports to assist with building regulation checks Setup and monitoring of building regulations trackers Drawing edits and revision issues as instructed by Line Manager Collating design information for each project and keeping it up to date Keeping up to date with industry trends, specifically relating to the Building Regulations Advising on materials, technology and processes involved in building design Production and ongoing development of the architectural specification(s) Design and development of technical detailing package(s) Ongoing, regular review of technical design information produced by wider technical team Definition and management of practice standards with regard to technical detailing and specification writing Technical audits at key project milestones, as defined by wider project team, to check compliance with relevant Building Regulations Contribution to wider practice conversations with regard to Building Regulations to assist with strategic decision making Competencies Technical drawing: Drawing conventions Naming standards (PAS BS1192 or similar) Software Literacy: Revit Adobe Indesign NBS Chorus Microsoft Office (word / excel) Microsoft Teams Microsoft Loop An exceptional, proven knowledge of technical detailing Qualifications A relevant bachelor''s degree, preferably in Architectural Technology or Architecture (RIBA Part 1 or equivalent).
