Quantity Surveyor – Structural Steel | Derby | Full-Time, Office-BasedI’m working with a progressive and forward-thinking steelwork and engineering company based in the Derby area, now looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team.This is a full-time, office-based position suited to a QS with experience in steel fabrication and working closely with sub-contractors delivering packages to main/principal contractors.Key Responsibilities:Managing all duties associated with the role of Quantity Surveyor.Preparation of tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.Monitoring and controlling project costs from tender stage through to final account.Working with sub-contractors and the internal delivery team to ensure accurate valuations and timely payments.Providing cost advice and support throughout the project lifecycle.Assisting in the negotiation and management of sub-contractor packages.Producing and managing project budgets, forecasts, and cashflows.Handling variations, change control, and final account agreements.Requirements:Proven background in Quantity Surveying within the steel fabrication or structural steel industry.Experience working alongside sub-contractors as part of larger principal contractor-led projects.Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.Excellent organisational and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail.This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable, ambitious, and well-established business that offers a collaborative working environment and genuine progression for the right person.To express your interest or learn more, please get in touch.
