JOB DETAILS JOB BAND: C CONTRACT TYPE: Fixed-term Contract, Full-time / Attachment, Full-time unitl 31December 2026 DEPARTMENT: BBC Nations, BBC Radio Nottingham LOCATION: Nottingham PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: 27,600 - 46,500 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights. We're happy to discuss flexible working. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE BBC Radio Nottingham is looking for a dynamic and creative Producer to work across programmes and bring stories to life out on the patch. YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT: As a Producer working across programmes and out on the patch, you will play a key role in shaping the journalism and storytelling that connects BBC Radio Nottingham with its audiences. You'll help set the daily agenda by finding, developing and delivering original stories, whether from the studio or out reporting live on location. Your work will drive high impact content across platforms, support presenters with compelling material, and ensure our journalism reflects the communities we serve. By bringing creativity, strong editorial judgment and a deep understanding of Nottinghamshire, you will help deliver output that is relevant, trusted and distinctive. YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL CRITERIA: Ability to deliver high quality cross platform content using a range of production tools. Strong editorial judgement, with the ability to generate and develop accurate, impartial journalism tailored to different audiences. Excellent planning and organisational skills, able to prioritise effectively, manage deadlines and contribute to team workflows. Proven experience building productive working relationships and contributing positively to a collaborative, inclusive newsroom culture. Comfortable appearing on air when required, live or pre recorded, and contributing to the production of programmes.
