Job Description Family Help Worker Nottingham City Multiple Work Bases (Bulwell Family Hub & Mary Potter Centre, Hyson Green)Pay rate 20.17 Paye exclusive of holiday pay or 27LTD inclusive of holiday payFull Time 37 Hours per Week Are you a Newly Qualified Social Worker looking to gain valuable frontline experience in early intervention and family support? We are recruiting Family Help Workers to join our supportive and dynamic teams across Nottingham City. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified Social Workers at the beginning of their career who are passionate about making a real difference to children, young people, and families. Please note: This is not a Social Worker post, however applicants must hold a Social Work qualification. About the Role As a Family Help Worker, you will work directly with children and families across Nottingham, delivering high-quality early help and targeted interventions using a trauma-informed, relational approach. This role involves working within:Family homesFamily HubsJoint officesSchoolsCommunity settings across Nottingham CityA full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential. Working Hours37 hours per weekCore hours: 8:30am 4:50pmFlexibility required to meet the needs of children and familiesKey ResponsibilitiesComplete Early Help Assessments and SMART multi-agency action plans using the Signs of Safety frameworkAct as Lead Professional, arranging and chairing Team Around the Family meetingsSupport children aged 019 and their familiesDeliver high-quality personal and social development interventionsWork alongside Social Work Lead Professionals for families subject to Child in Need and Child Protection PlansSupport families to build sustainable support networks and resilienceEngage children and young people in planning, decision-making and goal-settingParticipate in a duty system to ensure continuity of supportMaintain accurate records using electronic case management systemsWork in partnership with voluntary and statutory agenciesPromote Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in all aspects of practiceEngage in reflective supervision and professional developmentAbout You You will:Hold a recognised Social Work qualificationBe passionate about early intervention and preventative workHave strong communication and multi-agency working skillsBe confident working independently within family homesBe committed to trauma-informed and relational practiceBe organised and able to manage competing prioritiesHold a full driving licence with access to a vehicleNewly Qualified Social Workers are strongly encouraged to apply.please email your CV to [email protected] or call 01772 208964
