We are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Residential Support Worker who is committed to making a real difference in the lives of children and young people living in residential care. Our service supports young people with emotional, behavioural and complex needs, providing a safe, nurturing and structured environment where they can develop, achieve and feel valued. As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will: Lead, support and mentor a team of Residential Support Workers to deliver high-quality, child-centred care Act as a positive role model and maintain professional boundaries at all times Support young people with daily routines, education, emotional regulation and life skills Help young people understand and exercise their rights, choices and independence Work in line with care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures Liaise with external professionals including social workers, schools and health services Contribute to shift planning, handovers, record-keeping and incident reporting The successful candidate must have: NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Residential Childcare Proven experience working with children or young people who display challenging and complex behaviours A strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection and trauma-informed care Excellent written and verbal communication skills The ability to work flexibly, including sleep-ins, weekends and bank holidays In return, we offer: Excellent rates of pay Flexible working hours Paid annual leave Ongoing training and clear career progression opportunities Supportive management and a positive team culture The successful applicant will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS (formerly CRB) check.
