Location: Oxfordshire / Cotswolds (Luxury Hotel & Resort live-in available) Salary: 38,000 39,000 per annum Contract Type: Permanent Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (flexibility required) Are you an experienced Sous Chef with proven leadership skills, looking to take the next step in a prestigious hospitality setting? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a luxury countryside hotel and resort, overseeing a talented brigade and delivering quality food at volume across multiple outlets. About Us Were recruiting on behalf of a leading luxury hotel and resort in the Oxfordshire / Cotswolds region. With multiple restaurants, event spaces, and leisure facilities, this is a large-scale operation catering to high guest volumes while maintaining excellent quality standards. The successful candidate will support the Head Chef in leading the kitchen brigade and ensuring smooth daily operations. What We Offer Salary: 38,000 39,000 Full-time, permanent contract (40 hours per week) Live-in accommodation available Free/discounted meals on site Use of gym and leisure facilities Discounts with national retailers and leisure brands Career progression and development opportunities with training and qualifications Staff transport available from local pick-up points (driving preferred) Key Responsibilities Lead, motivate, and develop a brigade of 16 chefs, including breakfast chefs and CDPs Deputise for the Head Chef in their absence, taking full responsibility for the kitchen Cook and oversee service in a high-volume environment across multiple outlets Support with menu planning, food ordering, and supplier management Maintain strict standards of food hygiene, health & safety, and kitchen organisation Manage rotas, training, and staff development for the kitchen team Ensure consistency and quality across breakfast, lunch, dinner, and events Work collaboratively with FOH management to deliver an exceptional guest experience Requirements Already working as a Sous Chef (essential not a step-up role) Proven experience leading a brigade in a high-volume kitchen Confident leader with the ability to manage, inspire, and develop a team of 16+ Strong organisational and communication skills Sound knowledge of cost control, stock management, and compliance Passionate about food quality and hospitality excellence Flexible and hands-on approach, with resilience under pressure Driving licence preferred; live-in and staff transport available Why Apply?
