Mental Health Support Worker

Assist with daily living tasks, medication administration, and behavioural support. Work alongside nurses, social workers, and multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) to ensure tailored care plans are followed. Support individuals transitioning from hospital discharge into community settings. Implement positive behaviour support (PBS) strategies and de-escalation techniques. Maintain accurate care records and report concerns in line with safeguarding policies. Encourage independence, social inclusion, and personal development.Requirements: Previous experience in complex care, mental health, or learning disabilities. Level 2 or 3 Health & Social Care qualification (preferred but not essential). Experience with challenging behaviours, autism, or forensic mental health (desirable). Training in MAPA, PMVA, or Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) (desirable). Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply). xjdpvnf A drivers licence is beneficial but not essential.
