Astute's Power team is partnering with leading with a world-wide Sugar Producer to recruit a Process Technician for its site in Newark.Find out if this opportunity is a good fit by reading all of the information that follows below.The Process Technician role comes with a starting salary of 45,400 + benefits package.If you're an experienced Operator or Process Technician within a heavy industrial site are looking for work then upload your CV to apply todayResponsibilities and duties of the Process Technician roleReporting to the Area Manager you will:Manage the safe operation and efficient performance of the refinery and energy areas of the plant with a full understanding of how the plant operates.Provide expertise in the plant operation with full shift responsibility.Undertake inspections and monitor the plant, understanding abnormal situations and how to deal with these.Respond to any abnormal or emergency operating conditions to maintain production, whilst ensuring all health, safety and environmental regulations are complied with.Be responsible for the generation of steam and electrical power for internal and external customers.Carry out diagnostics as required on areas of plant in the event of any defects.Carry out first-line maintenance on plant as appropriate and skilled to do.Able to work a shift pattern made up of days and nights.Professional qualificationsWe are looking for someone with the following:A level 3 qualification in Process Engineering or similar engineering discipline, a HNC would be highly desirableAn IOSH Working Safely certificate is highly advantageousExperience on a steam raising plant, in a similar heavy industrial setting such as power generation, CHP, refineries etc.Personal SkillsThe Process Technician role would suit someone who is:Good communication skills and ability to prioritise workAbility to demonstrate practice hands-on skills, competence and knowledge of the processExperience working in a lean operating environmentSalary and benefits of the Process Technician roleCompetitive starting salary of 45,400Benefits Package incl. 10% pensionTraining opportunities both internally and externally(#LI-RW1)INDPOWAstute People are acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy.
