Job DescriptionWe're looking for a Design Manager to join our Anglian Water team based in the East Anglia regionnnLocation: Can be based within the East Anglia Region- Norfolk/ Northamptonshire/ Lincolnshire- mixture of office and travelling to various sites within the region, and home workingnHours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to usnnIn this role you will be working on the Integrated Maintenance, Repair and Development Services (IMRDS) alliance. The team maintain the water supply systems, repairs emergencies like water bursts and develops new ways to better service customers.nnWhat will you be responsible for?nAs a Design Manager, you'll be working within the Capital main laying team, who are committed to delivering high-quality, efficient solutions for critical infrastructure projects.nnYou will lead the design for both in-house teams, remote design partners, and external design consultancies. You will be fully responsible for all aspects of design across the relevant portfolio, ensuring projects are delivered within agreed timescales and meet both commercial and technical requirements.nnFrom the outset, you will assume responsibility for your team of designers and accountability for delivery within their pods for each scheme design. In addition toyour leadership duties, you will be responsible for CDM Principal Designer duties under the delegation of the Design & Engineering Manager. You will ensure compliance with Totex Delivery Process, New Roads & Streetworks Act 1991 and other relevant regulations.nnYour day to day will include:nnLead and oversee the design process for the main laying portfolio, ensuring compliance with technical and safety standardsnAllocate design resources, maintain close liaison with utilities teams, and coordinate efforts with the modelling teamnChampion the digital development of infrastructure designs, promoting the use of 3D modelsnEnsure all design work adheres to required standards and specifications, coordinating with internal stakeholders as needed, whilst considering environmental constraintsnnnWhat are we looking for?nThis role of Design Manager is great for you if you hold:nnnExtensive experience in a similar technical role, experience in designing, planning, or delivering infrastructure or capital projectsnExcellent leadership skills to inspire and support others in achieving critical tasksnAbility to collaborate effectively and demonstrate clear judgement and decision-makingnGood prioritisation and planning skills and strong customer focusnExperience in coaching, mentoring and developing team membersnAbility to embrace and drive change, challenging the status quo and fostering continuous improvement and innovationnFull driving licencennnWe're all about finding potential here at Kier, and transferrable skills are always welcome!
