Job Description Assembly Technician - Demonstrator Build & AssemblyCT19 has partnered exclusively with an innovative, mission-driven climate technology company developing advanced decarbonisation systems for industrial applications.Following continued technical progress and demonstrator expansion, the team is now seeking a hands-on Assembly Technician to support the assembly and integration of prototype and demonstration units at their Norwich-based workshop.This is a practical, workshop-focused role suited to someone who enjoys building real hardware, working with heavy industrial components, and contributing directly to first-of-a-kind climate technology systems.The RoleAs Mechanical Technician, you will play a key role in assembling containerised demonstrator units and industrial skid systems. You will work closely with engineers to fabricate, assemble, and integrate pressure-rated mechanical systems safely and to a high standard.Assembly Technician responsibilitiesFabrication & WeldingPerform coded welding (MIG/TIG preferred) to relevant standardsFabricate and modify pipework, brackets, supports, and structural elementsWork with carbon steel and stainless steel systemsAssemble pressure-rated pipework and fittingsMechanical AssemblyAssemble heavy industrial components including compressors, vessels, and heat exchangersInstall valves, sensors, fittings, and mechanical subassembliesSupport mechanical alignment and integrity checksPrepare systems for hydrostatic and pneumatic testingPressure & Safety ComplianceWork in accordance with UK Pressure Systems Safety Regulations (PSSR)Understand PED and pressure-rated componentsSupport CE and UKCA compliance documentation where requiredMaintain safe workshop practices and lifting proceduresDemonstrator Build & IntegrationSupport containerised skid buildsAssist with commissioning and fault-finding activitiesContribute to prototype iteration and build improvementsWork flexibly as systems evolve through development phasesAssembly Technician requirementsEssentialCoded welding certification/experience.Experience working with pressure pipework and/or pressure vesselsMechanical assembly experience on industrial equipmentAbility to interpret technical drawings and P&IDsStrong practical mindset and workshop safety awarenessDesirableForklift or lifting operations familiarityExperience within Oil & Gas, industrial refrigeration, process plant, power generation, compressed air systems, or heavy fabricationExperience supporting prototype or demonstrator buildsWhats on OfferCompetitive salary dependent on experienceOpportunity to work on first-of-a-kind climate technology systemsCollaborative, delivery-focused engineering environmentLong-term opportunity within a growing decarbonisation business
