Consultant Paediatrician – Autism & ADHD AssessmentsWe are seeking experienced and compassionate Consultant Paediatricians who share our core values of commitment, trust, integrity, and kindness to join our growing neurodevelopmental assessment service.About the RoleYou will provide high-quality Autism and ADHD assessments for children and young people aged 3–18 years, delivering thoughtful, evidence-based diagnoses in a supportive and family-centred way.Key responsibilities include:Conducting comprehensive developmental histories using recognised tools and preferred assessment methods.Observing children and young people during assessment sessions, ensuring all interactions are age-appropriate, respectful, and compassionate.Reviewing ADOS reports, developmental histories, and relevant collateral information from home and school within the same assessment session.Formulating diagnoses in line with DSM-5 criteria, concluding assessments, and delivering clear, sensitive feedback to families, including recommendations and signposting to local and national resources.Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) where further information is required, with the option to offer follow-up sessions to finalise diagnoses.Producing high-quality, detailed diagnostic reports within 48 hours of assessment (full administrative support is provided for formatting and quality assurance).Requesting onward referrals where clinically indicated, in line with local NHS Trust and ICB protocols.Our ClinicsUp to four assessments per day between 9am–5pm£300 per assessment, paid on a self-employed basis (outside IR35)Weekend availabilityRemote clinics delivered via MS TeamsFace-to-face clinics available in Canterbury and BasingstokeFree CPD and training opportunities, including further neurodevelopmental assessments such as ADHDWhat We're Looking ForGMC-registered doctor with a valid licence to practiseCCT in Paediatrics preferred, but not essentialStrong experience and confidence in ASD and/or ADHD assessments for children and young peopleUp-to-date with appraisal and revalidation requirementsComfortable working remotely using digital platformsA clinician who genuinely embodies our values of trust, integrity, commitment, and kindnessA passion for delivering consistent clinical excellence for every child and familyWhat We OfferFlexible working patterns, with availability 7 days a week (subject to the Working Time Directive)Remote and face-to-face clinic options to suit your preferences£300 per assessment, outside IR35Regular clinical supervision and peer supportOngoing training and professional development opportunitiesFull administrative support for scheduling and report preparationAccess to free CPD sessions led by experienced cliniciansThe opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the lives of children, young people, and families navigating undiagnosed neurodiversity
