Then consider the role of a Stop Smoking/Health andWellbeing Coach Stop Smoking Health and Wellbeing Coaches are critical to the successful delivery of our clients Wellbeings world class evidence-based health and wellbeing behavioural lifestyle interventions. Comprising of both group-based and one-to-one health and wellbeing interventions, theStop SmokingCoach willbe responsible fordeliveringa series of stop smokingappointmentsovera12-weekperiodwith the intention of supporting a participant through their quit journey with behavioural support and pharmacotherapies. Health & Wellbeing Coaches help jobseekers identify health difficulties that stop them reaching their potential, providing individual action plans to overcome various barriers. With a varied work routine, youll have autonomy over the structure of each day. Youll be joining an established and expanding team, who are mutually supportive and all pitch in to manage the workload. The main purpose of the Health & Wellbeing Coach is to deliver the group-based health & wellbeing exercise services. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Delivering the Wellbeing Stop Smoking Program and other elements of service in a manner that engages and interests all participants on a 1:2:1 and group basis. Capturing key metrics at different points in the participants journey i.e. monitoring and recording participants progress on their quit date. Liaising with professionals including GPs and primary care staff to promote and generate referrals to the service. To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with: An understanding of or interest in working with individuals or groups to achieve health-related behaviour change, such as losing weight, moving more, eating better or stopping smoking. Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with a wide range of people. Ability to actively listen, empathise and provide personalised support in a non-judgemental way Willingness and flexibility to travel to deliver programmes across designated region. Ability to demonstrate coaching or mentoring experience, and persuasion/influencing skills through previous work or social activities Desirable Attributes: Fluency in community languages: Cantonese, Mandarin, Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, Somali, Vietnamese, Dari, Yoruba, Turkish, French, Spanish, Albanian, Arabic, Bengali, Farsi, Guajarati, Polish, Serbian and Greek (dependent on location of service delivery). Willingness to undertake evening and weekend work as required. REPS Level 3 Exercise Referral qualification or equivalent, or Level 3 qualification in health improvement or promotion or public health or equivalent (e.g. City & Guilds Level 3 Health Trainer or equivalent); or Level 3 qualification in nutrition; or Level 3 Training qualification (e.g. PTTLs / Award in Education & Training)or NCSCT Certificate in Assessment of Knowledge & Skills to become an accredited and registered Smoking Cessation Practitioner including the following areas smoking cessation, mental health, pregnancy and post-partum period, VBA and second-hand smoke. Experience of delivery group-based health or physical activity or advice & guidance interventions.
