Job Description External Boat BuilderOur prestigious, manufacturing client within the Marine and Luxury Yacht industry, are currently seeking multiple External Boat Builders, who will aid the External building of their yachts.This is a full time, permanent position, based in Wroxham.Knowledge Skills & Experience:Robust boatbuilding construction knowledgeCompetent manufacturing knowledge (timber, fibreglass products as an example)Knowledge of safe working practices and good understanding of Health and SafetyRelevant C&G Qualifications or equivalentExcellent communication skillsSkilled use of hand and power toolsReading and understanding technical drawingsExperience of working with raw materials and tools to a good standardPrevious experience in the marine industry working with timber/GRP boats (Desirable)This crucial role within the business reports to the Boat Builder Manager, and will be responsible for making and fitting various components across our clients range of boats, working to precise measurements and details on the exterior of the projects.Key Job Responsibilities:Fitting sailing hardware (Winches, cleats, clutches and tracks)GRP/Fibreglass structure fitting and maintenanceFitting hull ports / marine windowsFitting of pull and push pitsFitting marine hatchesQuality and snagging testing through delugeSkin Fitting Installation, Deck Gear Installation and Teak Deck InstallationWindow, Portlight and Hatch InstallationFitting various fibreglass components.Fairing & finishing of final Composite ModulesOur clients offers flexible working! As follows:Working a Monday Friday, 40 hour week our client offers flexible working with enhanced rates and incentives available. Such as:Early starts from 06:30 to complete your 40 hours before a Friday.Enhanced overtime rates for completing 40+ hours.Additional one off payments over 45 hours (alongside the enhanced overtime rates).In this role, you will work as part of a close knit, experienced team.
