Materials Handler Location: near Norwich Airport Full-Time | Permanent | Excellent Progression OpportunitiesWe are recruiting for a leading manufacturer who is seeking a reliable and motivated Materials Handler to join their team. Due to an exciting expansion of their UK depot, they have 4 spaces for additional Materials Handlers. These are key roles within the supply and logistics function, ensuring the smooth flow of materials through the production process and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the operation.This position would suit someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and looking to grow their career within a well-established, forward-thinking business. The Role You will be responsible for handling, storing, counting, and distributing parts in line with internal standards. You’ll work closely with both the manufacturing and goods in/out teams to ensure materials are available when and where they are needed, while maintaining a safe and orderly environment. Key responsibilities include: Supporting goods-in and goods-out processes to ensure timely movement of stockConducting accurate inventory counts and maintaining stock presentationFollowing defined processes such as Standard Work Instructions and Safe Systems of WorkKeeping the working area clean, tidy, and compliant with 5S standardsContributing to continuous improvement initiativesAssisting with training of colleagues where appropriateAbout You The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment and a strong commitment to maintaining high operational standards. Previous experience in a warehouse or production support role is desirable. Key requirements: A background in Inventory Control, Materials Handling or similarBasic PC skills, including Microsoft OfficeA proactive and positive approach to tasksStrong organisational and communication skillsForklift (counterbalance) experience is an advantage, though not essentialWhat’s on Offer In return, you’ll be joining a company that values development and progression.
