Job Description Senior Electronics Engineer Norwich area, Norfolk (Hybrid working)c.65k+ (flexible) + benefitsThis role requires an experienced electronics engineer who enjoys working in small, agile product development environments. The role would suit a generalist with experience of analogue and digital hardware design as well as power electronics.Other than supporting ongoing product development you will be involved with design analysis (e.g. reliability, FMEA) as well as supporting EMC and documentation ahead of certification / approvals.The Opportunity Senior Electronics design EngineerThis role offers the chance to join a growing technology company developing electronic systems for electric vehicles and industrial applications. Youll play a key role in designing, developing, and validating robust electronic control hardware that meets demanding automotive standards.Youll work across the full lifecycle from concept and schematic capture through circuit analysis, simulation, prototype validation and supporting products into production (NPI). In addition, you will provide documentation and product analysis (e.g. FMEA) in support of product certification, etc.Experience / Knowledge required: Senior Electronics Design EngineerExcellent academic background (degree or masters degree in electrical/electronic engineering or similar)Strong analogue and digital circuit design experience ideally with microprocessor or microcontroller-based systems (e.g. NXP or similar)Experience of power electronics design (ideally DCDC converters or inverters for automotive applications or similar))Confident using tools for schematic capture, PCB layout and circuit simulation (e.g. Altium, LTspice, etc.)Good understanding of electronics for automotive or rugged environments vibration, thermal, EMC, ingress protection, etc.Able to take designs from concept through validation and into production including documentation and FMEA support.Strong practical engineering skills and experience developing and testing electronics hardware in lab or vehicle settingsExcellent communication and teamwork skills comfortable in a customer-focused, fast-moving engineering environmentBeneficial experience: Senior Electronics design EngineerAutomotive ECU or control electronics development (e.g. powertrain / electric drive unit (EDU), body control modules, brakes, engine management or chassis systems)Exposure to design-for-manufacture (DFM) and validation testing processesYoull join a business that values technical excellence and gives engineers the freedom to make a real impact.
