Technical Support Analyst - Asset Management

Job DescriptionTechnical Support Analyst3 months contract Inside IR3515.88 per hour (umbrella)Location - Norwich with travel to other sites Candidate must have a Valid UK driving licence Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm A well established public sector organisation is looking for an experienced Technical Analyst with a background in asset management to support IT users across multiple sites ensuring there is smooth operational delivery across all IT infrastructure. The primary purpose of this role is to provide second-line technical support to IT users and assist in the management of the organisation hardware assetsReporting to the Second Line Team Manager, you will provide 'second line' technical support to the organisation IT users across all sites. A key part of your role will be supporting efficient and effective hardware asset management processes and systems. This includes:carrying out asset management tasks across the entire life cycle of Organisation IT hardware, setting up and maintaining the Configuration Management Database (CMDB)booking new equipment into the asset register, arranging disposals, and coordinating hardware auditsYou will also oversee the repair process for devices, including diagnosing and replacing parts, and create processes for managing hardware for leaversThe successful candidate should have the following core skills2 years of experience in IT Proficient experience in operations systems such MS WindowsStrong understanding of Windows Serversextensive experience with Active Directory Networking Management including LAN and WAN Good understanding/hands on experience with PC architecture Experience with backup and remote access software15.88 per hour (umbrella) Location - Norwich with travel to other sites - Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm If you are an experienced IT individual with a proven track record of providing IT Support to end users and hold a valid UK driver license then this is the perfect opportunity for you.
