Background: Based within the Norwich Research Park, the Earlham Institute (EI) is a national facility promoting genomics to advance bioscience research and innovation in the UK, supporting academic and industrial investigators. EI focuses on understanding the natural world through genomics, computational systems, and synthetic biology. In an interdisciplinary environment, the Institute explores living systems to protect life on Earth, leading a revolution in data-intensive bioscience through research, collaborations, training, and scientific services. The Role: The Earlham Institute seeks an outstanding researcher with an excellent track record (appropriate to career stage) to join as a new Group Leader. We invite applications from those working in research focused on engineering biology to establish and lead an internationally recognized research program. The successful candidate will foster collaborations within EI, with academic institutions, industry, government, and stakeholders. Applicants who utilize the Institute's capabilities and/or apply AI approaches to the design-build-test-learn cycle are encouraged. The candidate should demonstrate success in securing research funding, developing their research program, and publishing high-quality research.
