Management AccountantThe following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role.Our client is a leading UK fresh produce grower, operating multiple large scale, high tech greenhouse sites across the South and East of England. The business supplies major UK retailers year round with British grown tomatoes and cucumbers, produced using advanced glasshouse technology.They are now looking for a Management Accountant to join their finance team. Based in Norwich, the finance function plays a critical role in supporting the wider operation, working closely with both site-based teams and senior leadership.The Role This is a hands-on Management Accountant position within a fresh produce business, offering the opportunity to support the finance function on a day-to-day basis.You will be supporting the business with accurate reporting, insight, and strong financial control. This role will suit someone self-motivated, and confident in managing priorities independently.While the position covers core management accounting responsibilities, it also involves supporting transactional finance activities and working closely with operational teams. There is genuine scope for the role to develop further, depending on your capability and appetite for responsibility.Main ResponsibilitiesPreparation of weekly and monthly accounts, including full monthly management accountsSupporting with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysisProducing clear, meaningful management information and commentary for the senior management team.Supporting strategic and operational decision-making through detailed financial analysisChallenging existing processes to improve efficiency and add value across operationsIdentifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing effective cost control measuresSupporting with day to day financial transactionsMonitoring and managing inventory levels to ensure accurate financial reportingWorking alongside site operations teams to deliver financial and commercial insightSupporting continuous improvement of finance processes, systems, and controlsContributing to wider Finance team initiatives to support xjdpvnf business growth and efficiency RequiredProven experience in a Management Accountant or similar hands-on accounting roleFully qualified (CIMA / ACA / ACCA), part-qualified, or Qualified by ExperienceExperience within fresh produce, food manufacturing, or FMCG is essentialComfortable working autonomously with minimal day-to-day supervisionOrganised, efficient, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, operational environment Salary Competitive depending on experienceLocationNorwich (on-site role, hybrid considered)How to Apply If you're interested, please apply below, alternatively, contact Sandra on (phone number removed) or (url removed)
