An exciting opportunity has arisen for an HGV Mechanic/Technician to join our established client at their Barking Site.Reporting to the Site Manager you will be responsible for:Inspection and diagnosis of LGV/HGV vehicles and trailers to DVSA standards to ensure they are safe, legal and roadworthy at all timesConduct thorough inspectionsCollaborate with the tamRisk assessmentsPMIsRoutine maintenanceOil changes, filter replacements and tyre rotationsService vehicles and trainersAttend and respond to out of hours breakdowns as part of a all out rotaHealth and safety regulationsAim for 100% MOT pass rate on presented vehiclesAny other ad hoc duties as and when requestedTo be considered for this role you will need:Strong mechanical aptitudeExperience with diagnostic toolsAbility to read and interpret technical manuals and schematicsProactive problem solving skillsMinimum 3 years experienceNVQ Level 3 or equivalent in HGV MechanicsIRTEC CertificationHGV Class 1 or 2 License(desirable)Hours 40 per week between 05.00 to 17.00 with a proposed 07.00-16.00 as standardBenefits include:Enhanced pensionLong service awardCompany eventsLife coverIf you have the skills and ability for this role, do not delay, apply today
