Job Title: UX Designer (Contract) – GDS Experience EssentialLocation: Remote - 1 day per month in ManchesterContract Length: initial 8 monthsDay Rate: £480pd inside IR35We require an experienced UX Designer to join our team on a contract basis, working on a high-impact public sector project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in user-centred design and proven experience working to Government Digital Service (GDS) standards.Key Responsibilities:Lead user research and usability testing to inform design decisionsDesign accessible, user-focused solutions across digital servicesCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams including researchers, developers, and product managersEnsure designs align with GDS principles and service standardsProduce wireframes, prototypes, and documentation to support developmentStrong UX design background with a user-centred approachSolid experience designing services to meet GDS standardsFamiliarity with GOV.UK Design SystemExperience working in agile, cross-functional teamsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsPublic sector project experienceKnowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG)Experience using tools like Figma, Sketch, or similarFor further information please apply.
